With a buzz still emanating from her 2017 Juno nomination for I’m Still Learning, Barbra Lica continues her remarkable journey with You’re Fine, her fifth and most ambitious release to date, and one which validates the title of her previous album. Set for release on November 9, 2018, You’re Fine is a living, breathing representation of Lica’s journey, with heartfelt compositions combining her passionate jazz foundations with a contemporary ‘Music City’ sound.
You’re Fine is a poignant and introspective release from one of the most accomplished singer-songwriters and arrangers on the Canadian jazz scene. Recorded in Toronto and Nashville with renowned producer/bassist Marc Rogers and Barbra’s full band of rising stars from Toronto alongside a host of accomplished guest musicians, You’re Fine shines radiant light on Barbra Lica’s acclaimed vocal abilities, while delivering a seamless blend of jazz and country stylings. This genre-bending project breaks every rule while searching for commonalities between musical palettes, human experience and two sides of one border.
